Back in the Studio
If you had told me a year ago I’d be back in the studio cutting tracks across multiple genres, I might’ve smiled and nodded - but I wouldn’t have believed you. Like many musicians, life pulled me in other directions for a while. But thanks to my good friend Jason Wyatt and We The People Music Productions, I’ve found myself back behind the bass, rediscovering the joy of making music.
Jason is no stranger to the Nashville music scene. He’s a seasoned producer with deep roots in the industry, but more importantly - he’s a visionary. Through We The People Music Productions, Jason is doing more than recording and producing. He’s building something meaningful. He’s developing artists, mentoring talent, and creating an environment where creativity thrives.
It’s been an honor to step into that space and be part of what’s happening. We’ve been tracking at Speakeasy Recording Studios in Spring Hill, TN - a killer studio with the ever-talented Elliott Didur at the engineering helm. The sessions have spanned genres from country and rock to jazz, blues, and folk. It’s kept things fresh and inspiring.
From a musician’s standpoint, Jason is the kind of producer you want to work with. He knows how to cast a session like a director casts a film - pulling together the right players who bring out the best in each track. His creativity and musical instincts are top-tier. But what sets him apart is his heart for artists. He cares about the people behind the music and is committed to helping them grow and thrive.
For me personally, Jason played a big part in my return to the studio. After several years away, I wasn’t sure I’d find my way back. But his belief in me and his invitation to be part of the work reignited something in me. For that, I’m deeply grateful.
